Other Ways To Help Your Horse in the Heatwave:

• Exercise your horse in the coolest part of the day
• Adjust turnout times, and provide shade in the field where possible
• Cool your horse down using water
• Use sun cream on sensitive areas
• Control flies with a fly rusk / fly mask / fly spray
• Provide plenty of sources of clean, fresh, cool water
• Use enrichment such as apple bobbing or soaked feed to enrice drinking
