Sustainability at the Stables

Today marks World Earth Day – so we’ve been thinking about ways you can reduce your impact on the environment while looking after your horse. Here are our top tips for things you can do while at the stables or yard to improve your environmental footprint.

Fix leaks, and collect rainwater
Have a recycling bin on the yard
Re-use your supplement tubs (eg for treats, plaiting kit, or first aid supplies)
Turn off lights & electric fencing when not in use
Buy second-hand
Rotate paddocks to prevent over-grazing
Repair rugs and equipment instead of buying new
Limit chemical and toxic product use
